🌱 Educational Path “Through Three Forest Communities”


🔹 In the Białowieża Forest, near the Wolf Trail, lies a unique educational boardwalk leading through three natural forest communities.
🔹 The wooden footbridge allows safe movement over wet terrain and observation of the untouched forest ecosystem.

🌳 Hornbeam-Oak Forest


🔹 Trees: English oak, hornbeam, small-leaved lime, Norway maple.
🔹 Ground cover: wood anemone, corydalis, lungwort, sweet woodruff.
🔹 Characteristics: multi-layered forest with rich undergrowth, most beautiful in spring.

💧 Riparian Forest


🔹 Trees: ash, black alder, elm, maple.
🔹 Ground cover: marsh marigold, wild garlic, nettle, sedges.
🔹 Characteristics: riverine forest, dynamic and full of life in spring and summer.

🌿 Alder Swamp


🔹 Trees: black alder, occasionally downy birch.
🔹 Ground cover: mosses, rushes, wet grasses, ferns.
🔹 Characteristics: hummock-and-hollow terrain with water-filled depressions.
